Rare Beauty is making major moves. The brand is expanding past makeup to skincare with products for the body launching first. The Rare Beauty Find Comfort Body Collection news comes after it leaked on social media over the weekend. TikTokers freaked out at the images of the cool mauve packaging with tiny little white letters that proved its a body care line.
At an event with media and influencers in NYC on Monday, Gomez talked about the inspiration behind the four-piece collection of a Body Lotion, Hand Cream, Aromatherapy Pen, and Body and Hair Fragrance Mist. “Coming up with the scent was really fun,” Gomez said to the crowd. “I wanted it to be like what it’s like to have a nice hug, from me.” The fragrance has tonka bean, soft jasmine, and smooth cashmere wood.
“It’s important to take a moment out of your day to find comfort,” Gomez continued. “That can be in friends, a phone call, a moment to yourself, or maybe you’re taking a break on social media. I think that stuff’s really important to do for yourself, so it just made sense.”
The products are multi-use, too. Like Rare Beauty makeup, bottles are easy-open for accessibility. They also come with massage protocols created with an occupational therapist. Using the bottles as tools, such as for hand massage, make them just as functional as pretty.
There’s the Find Comfort Hydrating Body Lotion ($28) infused with vitamins and antioxidants like niacinamide, peach flower extract, and ashwaganda extract; Find Comfort Hydrating Hand Cream ($18) for lightweight, fast-absorbing hydration; Find Comfort Body & Hair Fragrance Mist ($28) infused with biotin, niacinamide, and peach flower extract; and Find Comfort Stop & Soothe Aromatherapy Pen ($20) with a soothing peppermint and lavender scent.
On December 18, you can shop the Find Comfort collection on the Sephora app, followed by Sephora.com and RareBeauty.com on December 19. The collection officially hits Sephora stores on December 26.
